SERVING AT HILLSIDE

According to 1 Peter 4:10, all believers are to be good stewards of God’s grace by using whatever gift we have received from Him to serve one another. At Hillside we see this calling as one of the many blessings of belonging to the body of Christ— that we are all able to share in the work of the ministry and in the joy of laboring together. Check out the many ways you can be a part of the mission and let us know where you would like to serve!

Opportunities to Serve

Please click on the ministries below to read descriptions of the ways you can serve!

Volunteers can serve in a variety of areas working together to create a safe, welcoming experience for our Sunday morning worship services. This includes our parking and security team, greeters, ushers, and those who serve at the Welcome Center.
Serving on the production team involves supporting our Sunday morning worship services technically by helping run the lighting/sound booth, putting up slides during services, and producing our livestream video.
Volunteers are always needed during the week in preparation for our Sunday worship services or even behind the scenes on Sunday. You can serve by helping with the various tasks necessary to keep things running smoothly. Most volunteers serve on a monthly rotation and some may only serve a few times per year depending on the task.
Do you have a heart for prayer? Join our prayer team that prays with those in need of prayer after each service in our prayer room. We also have women’s and men’s prayer groups that meet during the week. For more information click the link above.
Volunteers provide assistance to classroom teachers during weekend worship services or weekday Bible studies by helping shepherd and care for our infants through 5th grade children.
Volunteers in our middle school or high school groups can get involved Sunday mornings, Tuesday nights, or Wednesday nights. Serving in youth ministry is about fostering intentional relationships with students, having fun together, facilitating small group interaction, and helping them grow as disciples in Christ.
Serving for special needs consists of being a one-on-one buddy to a special needs child or young adult in our congregation. Volunteers must be 12 years or older and are needed for the 10:30 am + 12:00pm services on Sundays. Anyone interested in serving in this way will be fully trained.
