“ 4He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
REVELATION 21:4 ESV
“ 3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”
1 PETER 1:3 ESV
As we look forward to celebrating Easter with you this Sunday, we are reminded of the purpose and the centrality of the truth that we celebrate. God’s grand story of redemption, through His Son’s victory over sin and death rests at the center of what we call the Gospel. At Hillside, we wholeheartedly believe that Jesus changes everything and everyone. We believe that He longs to work in our hearts, to grow us and to mature us. We know that our broken world struggles daily under the destruction and chaos that sin has wrought. And we know too, that Jesus is the only hope for overcoming the power of sin. His life, His death, and His resurrection give us hope as we look forward to the “eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison” (2 Cor 4:17).
We want to invite each of you to celebrate the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with us this Sunday. We have four services scheduled. Those include a sunrise service at 7:00am, and an 8:30am, 10:00am, and 11:30am service at Hillside. Members – Please consider attending either the sunrise service or the 11:30 service so that we can make room for visitors and guests during the 8:30 and 10:30 services. This Sunday marks an incredible opportunity not only for us to celebrate together, but also to invite those in our community who may not know the saving hope of the Gospel. We invite you to prayerfully consider asking your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors who desperately need to hear the hope of the gospel and the reason for our faith to join us. We would also ask that you make plans to engage with them over lunch or dinner to share with them the hope found in Jesus.
Lastly, as we continue to prepare for this weekend, please join us in prayer that the Lord might use the opportunity to change lives and to heal broken hearts. To God be the glory!
