(God) Himself is righteous and He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has faith in Jesus.
Romans 3:26 Amplified
Man chooses to bend to human nature that is hostile to love and favorable to self, harming others and meriting God’s wrath. How does God forgive man without diminishing His righteousness? And how does God judge man without diminishing His love?
…because of (God) you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30
Wisdom makes choices – choices that love and righteousness require. In wisdom, God in Christ lived a righteous life, perfectly loving God and man, and died as a substitute, in service to Love that freed guilty sinners.
As I linger in the God-glorifying truths that I am more sinful than I ever believed, and more loved than I ever hoped, I’m driven to the heart of Jesus. THERE God’s Wisdom in Christ is reproduced in me. Then I am freer to love the unlovable, and forgive the unforgivable, as God in Christ chooses to in me.
What of Jesus will I think on today, and how will it lead to choices that love and righteousness require?
