Have you ever found yourself wrestling through the aftermath of a painful conversation with a loved one? If reconciliation occurred, how did you achieve it? I would guess it wasn’t by sticking to your guns. When we look to Christ and see how He lived out humility, thinking not of himself but of us and our salvation, we see the example He sets for us to lay down our pride and trust Him to work in us, for His glory. His eyes were fixed on the cross, the source of our joy (Phil 2:5-8).
Think Christ and think like Christ, considering ourselves not, but taking on servitude, submission to the Father, so joy may be complete. The joy of Christ is ours when we find ourselves in Him. (Phil 2:1-5)
“Finally, my [sisters]. rejoice in the Lord.” Phil 3:1
Lord, Please, help us to love one another, consider ourselves not, but live with our minds on Christ, surrendered and submitted to Your will. Keep us from division and strife, empty us of ourselves and fill us with Your love. Help us to rejoice in Christ alone. In Jesus Name, Amen.
