Equip the Saints for the work of ministry

Ephesians 4:12

Equip Ministry

Our Equip Ministry is dedicated to encouraging adults to be faithful followers of our Lord, devoted to His Word, consistent prayer, and to loving one another. We are motivated by the Gospel to participate in the great commission by discipling men and women to the glory of God, and equipping them to use their gifts to edify the body of Christ.

We encourage you to take the next step in growth by engaging in one of the following equipping opportunities: our men's and women's Bible studies, a small discipleship group, or joining along with our 2023 Bible Reading Plan. See below for more information on each opportunity.

Men's + Women's Bible Study

The purpose of our Equip Bible Study is to create learning environments where men and women are spiritually formed, growing in their discipleship to Jesus. We hope to accomplish this through personal study and application of the scriptures in intergenerational small groups. We host two Bible studies per year - winter and fall - as well as occasional mini-studies in the spring or summer. Check out the upcoming events section below for more information concerning upcoming studies.

Relational Discipleship

We believe every Christian is called to be a disciple of Jesus and to make disciples. It’s our desire to help disciples grow in spiritual formation as they interact with others in small groups centered around the Bible. Relational Discipleship at Hillside is designed to impact and influence the whole person - heart, soul, mind and strength (Luke 10:27) - as we grow in our relationships with God and others. If you are interested in becoming part of a discipleship group, click on the form below.

THE EQUIPPING PODCAST

UPDATE: We are currently in the process of developing our staff team as well as recruiting and training new leaders for the GROW Ministry. For this reason, the production of the Equipping Podcast is on hold. Please continue to follow along with our church wide Reading Plan. We will continue to send our monthly Reading Plan prompts with the Scriptures for the corresponding weeks. Thank you for joining us as we walk through the Story of Scripture.

The New Testament

2023 Reading Plan

Join us as we read through the Story of Scripture in the New Testament. Last year we looked at eleven books of the Old Testament which move God's plan of redemption toward Jesus and the New Testament. This year we'll continue our journey as we read through the four Gospels, the book of Acts, and the book of Revelation. In addition, we'll look at several Old Testament prophecies fulfilled in the New Testament.

Subscribe to our email list and look for an email on the 1st day of each month with prompts for the month’s readings.

We’re looking forward to joining with you as we grow in our understanding of the sovereignty and relevance of God's plan of redemption through the life of Jesus and the early church.
