The guys on the road to Emmaus loved Jesus, but were genuinely misguided about Jesus’ true identity as their Messiah. As you have grown in your faith, can you identify any aspects of Jesus or your Christian faith that has changed over the years to be more Biblically correct and true?
Jesus makes it a point to explain himself through understanding the Scripture. How are you doing spending time in the Word? What practical steps do you take to make time for the Lord during your week?
Describe a point in your life where Jesus had to take you to the spiritual “operating room”.
As a result of that “surgical” event, what did Jesus extract from you, and what lasting truths did you learn? How did this impact your life? What changes did you make in your thinking or actions?
As a result of sin, the disciples hid in the top room behind closed doors. Are there any parts of your heart or life that you have locked away or kept “off-limits” to the Lord?
