• Proverbs 18:21 (Power):  What words spoken to you have had a lasting impact-either for good or for harm?  Why were those words so powerful?
• Think about the picture of our words “amending the soil” of another person’s heart.  What kind of soil do your words tend to create in the people closest to you?
• Proverbs 18:21 (Death): Which one of the “DAGER” weapons does your flesh most like to use (deceit, anger, gossip, evisceration, rancor)? What does that verbal weapon accomplish in the moment? What is one step you can take to lay that weapon down today?
• Proverbs 18:21 (Life): Every conversation gives us an opportunity to be a “first responder.”  Who is someone in your life right now who may need words that help, heal and bring life? Using the acronym HEAL – Honest, Encouraging, Apt, Loving. Which kind of words do you most need to grow in? What is one specific conversation this week where you can practice it?
