Proverbs: Formed by Jesus - Landmines. What Could Go Wrong?

QUESTIONS:

• Have you ever made a decision that seemed like a great idea at the time, only to realize later, “That was a landmine”? What happened? What is the difference between living with a playground mentality and a battleground mentality?
• (Proverbs 3:7;14:12) Where do you most naturally want to sit in the “director’s seat” of your life? What makes that area so difficult to surrender to God?  What are the fears and lies that convince you to hold on to it?
• (Proverbs 5:3-6) What does sexual temptation promise in the moment, what does it always produce in the end? Why do we seem so willing to believe the promise while ignoring the price?
• (Proverbs 18:11) Where does money replace God as your ‘security blanket’ in life? Where are you trusting money to provide what only God can provide?  When does healthy stewardship quietly become, “never enough”?
