QUESTIONS:

• Proverbs 13:20 says that walking with the wise makes us wise.  How do you recognize whether a friendship is drawing you closer to Jesus or slowly pulling you away?
• What kind of friend are you when things get tough? Do you tend to avoid conflict, demand your own way, or lean into hard conversations?
• Proverbs 17:17 says a friend loves at all times.  Is it difficult for you to remain loving when a friend disappoints, frustrates or hurts you? Which is harder for you; being honest with a friend or receiving honest feedback from a friend? What does this show you about your heart?
• Think about a strained relationship in your life.  Is the wise next step to move toward the person, move on from the offense or establish a healthy boundary?  What biblical truth helps you discern the wise path?
