- Presence (Philippians 2:1-2)

- Promise (Philippians 2:9-11)
QUESTIONS:
- (Philippians 2:1-2) Where do you find yourself instinctively pursuing joy or comfort outside of Jesus and authentic relationships (success, control, distraction, approval or isolation)? What do these things promise you that only Jesus can actually give?
- Jesus came near in the Incarnation so that we might share His joy. What keeps you from fully letting others see the real you in community? How might your joy be limited by staying guarded and disconnected?
- (Philippians 2:3-8) Jesus emptied Himself rather than grasping for more. Where might God be inviting you to let go, serve and give yourself away in ways that lead to deeper joy?
- (Philippians 2:9-11) When you think about the future, what emotion tends to dominate you the most right now? How does knowing that Jesus reigns, is returning, that we will be like Him and every knee will bow before Him reshape the story you tell yourself about the future?
