QUESTIONS:

1. What stood out to you most from the sermon on 1 Peter?
2. Humans are hope-based creatures. We look into the future and find something to put our hope in that we believe will give us a “happily ever after.” What have you put your hope in to obtain your “happily ever after?”
3. (1 Peter 1:3) Where does the Bible tell us that true hope/living hope resides? How did the resurrection change everything and open up the possibility of a true “happily ever after?”
4. (1 Peter 1:4-5) Outside of Jesus, nothing lasts. Everything that I have, accumulated, love, and value will be taken from me at death. Where are you investing in your life that will be taken away? Where would Jesus have you invest your life in things that are eternal?
5. (1 Peter 1:6-7) How do trials help us grow in Jesus and help us to know that we belong to Jesus? What trials are you going through now, and how might Jesus want to use them to give you a living hope?
