Partnering with missionaries who aim to serve and make disciples among the nations.

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals a God who is actively drawing people from every corner of the world to Himself (Gen. 12:1–3; Rev. 7:9–10). That global storyline shapes how we understand God’s purpose in the world today: the good news of Jesus Christ is being extended to all peoples, not just those familiar to us. When Jesus spoke of “all nations” (Matt. 28:18–20), he wasn’t offering a distant ideal. Rather, he was declaring the trajectory of his kingdom and inviting his church to participate (Acts 1:8). Global missions, then, is our joyful response to God’s worldwide purposes. It is the ongoing work of helping the gospel take root where it has not yet been heard (Rom. 15:20–21) and supporting the growth of new communities of faith in places still in need of a Spirit-filled, disciple-making church.

At Hillside, this means we intentionally link arms with those who are seeking to make disciples and plant churches among the nations—especially in regions where access to the gospel is scarce (Rom. 10:13–15). We want to see the name of Jesus treasured in places where, right now, people may live their entire lives without ever meeting a follower of Christ. In support of those who are crossing cultural and linguistic boundaries for the sake of Christ’s name, Hillside is committed to long-term partnerships that center on prayer (Col. 4:2-4), financial support (Phil. 4:15-17), pastoral care, and the sending of effective short-term ministry teams.

Ultimately, pursuing global missions is not an optional add-on to the life of our church; it is an essential expression of who we are as followers of Jesus (1 Pet. 2:9–10). In the final analysis, missions is about joining the Lord in what he is about in the world. As God has blessed us with the good news, we extend that blessing outward, confident that he is already at work (John 4:35–38). Our hope is that Hillside will continue to grow as a community that things globally, prays boldly, gives sacrificially, and celebrates the ways God is building his church among all peoples, until the day we join a worldwide multitude in worship before the Lamb (Rev. 5:9–12).

Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.
