  1. As you listened to the sermon today, in what ways was the Lord speaking to your heart?

  2. What steals your joy most on a day to day basis? This world is filled with joy destroyers. What are your top joy destroyers?

  3. When you think about God, do you think of Him as joyful? How do you think your view of God impacts how you live? (Psalm 16:11/ John 15:11/ Galatians 5:22)

  4. In your opinion and from your life experience, do you think Christians are known for their joy? What are they known for?

  5. The doctrine of the incarnation is immensely important if we are going to fulfill the Scriptures, rejoice always and experience the joy He gives. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

    1. How does the incarnation produce freedom and joy, knowing that He came to us because we couldn't go to Him? Has it put an end to your comparison, competition, and compulsive drive to measure up?

    2. How does the incarnation produce joy, knowing that He needs nothing from us? He loves to love, serve, give, care and share.

    3. How does the incarnation produce freedom and joy for you, knowing that He came to pay the price for our sin?

    4. How does the incarnation produce joy, knowing that the Son of Man actually sympathizes with you, knows how hard life is and tells us to come to Him?
