Notes Outline

OUTLINE:

I. Bad News (1 Peter 5:8)

II. Good News (1 Peter 5:9-10)

QUESTIONS:

  1. What stuck out to you most from the sermon?

  2. Bad news slowly breaks us down and causes us to lose heart, give up, and walk away. Can you remember a time you lost heart? How did Jesus meet you and strengthen you? (Galatians 6:9; Hebrews 12:3)

  3. It has always looked like Jesus is losing, right up to the point where He wins. How does the historical dominance of Jesus help you walk courageously and confidently today? (Jeremiah 32:17; Colossians 1:17)

  4. Where do you find yourself experiencing the most worry and anxiety when pondering the future? How does the truth of the gospel give peace and confidence when pondering the future? (Psalm 24:1)
