QUESTIONS:

1. (Matthew 28:18) Jesus has all authority and has asked us to function in submission to His mission and join the great commission. Where do you struggle most in submission to Jesus’ mission? Where do you find yourself pursuing your own mission? How can you repent today and join Jesus’ mission?

2. (Romans 14:11-12) Jesus has put a lot of yield signs around us so that we can practice submission before we stand before our Creator. How do you view submission to authority? What is your biggest struggle in submitting? How does Philippians 2:10 help you reframe and understand submission to authority?

3. (1 Peter 2:12) The church proclaims and practices the Gospel so that the world might see and come to understand the truth concerning Jesus. Submission can be a scary thing. How does the church, submitting to Jesus and the authority He puts over them, help people see and understand the blessing of submitting to Jesus? What step can you take to be part of that picture?

4. Submission as Protection: What part of membership and protection stood out most to you (Hebrews 13:17; Matthew 18:15-17; 1 Corinthians 5:1-6; 1 Peter 3:1 & 5:5)?
