Ephesians: Grace - Surprise Party

May 26, 2024Dave TookerEphesians: GraceEphesians 2:1-10

Notes Outline

OUTLINE:

  • Diagnose the Problem (Ephesians 2:1-3)
  • Describe the Procedure (Ephesians 2:4-7)
  • Define the Path (Ephesian 2:8-10)

QUESTIONS:

  1. (Ephesians 2:1-3) We all run diagnostics continually. We try to define and understand the problems around us. We end up playing ‘pin the tail on the donkey’ and assign blame for the problems. How does God define the problem? Who do you try to ‘pin the tail’ on? In what ways can you adjust the rear view mirror of your life and have Jesus change you inside?
  2. (Ephesians 2:4-7) The Bible says that God made us alive, raised us up and seated us in the heavenly places. Do you ever struggle to believe these truths are true of you? What causes you to struggle? Where can you grow in trusting Him today?
  3. (Ephesians 2:8-10) Grace can be disorienting. Where do you find yourself struggling with the enormity of His grace? Where do you struggle to simply say ‘Thank You’ and rejoice at the Gospel?
  4. (Ephesians 2:10) Your life is His workmanship, His poem. What parts of your poem do you struggle with? How have you experienced Him using parts of your poem for His purposes and praise? Where can you trust Him today to use your story for others’ salvation?
