Ephesians: Grace - Together in Christ with Full Access

Jun 02, 2024Ben StaggEphesians: GraceEphesians 2:11-18

Notes Outline

OUTLINE:

  • Remember the Problem (Ephesians 2:11-12)
  • Realize your Position (Ephesians 2:13-16)
  • Revel in His Provision (Ephesian 2:17-18)

QUESTIONS:

  1. (Ephesians 2:11-12) Living in a fallen world creates divisions among us. What are some group(s) that you have division with that you look down upon with superiority or look up to with inferiority? How does Jesus want to change your perspective today? What turnabouts in your life generate hostility toward others or yourself?
  2. (Ephesians 2:13-16) Before Christ we were all separated, alienated, excluded from the inheritance, strangers to the promise and without hope and God. Now we are brought near. How do you feel about being brought near to God and with those you have division with and what is the result internally?
  3. (Ephesians 2:17-18) Having full access to God can be overwhelming depending on your perspective of God… What’s your perspective of God and where did you get that perspective? Do you have panic, fear, stress, worry, anxiety or does your heart break out in worship?
  4. What does it look like to remember your previous life, realize your position in Christ, and revel in the provision He has freely given to you? How will this week be different compared to last week from an internal perspective? What are you holding onto as your works vs. allowing Him to use you to accomplish His works?
