  • Heart: Proverbs 3:5-6
  • Soul: Proverbs 3:5-6
  • Strength: Proverbs 3:5-6

QUESTIONS:

  • Proverbs 3:5 instructs us not to lean on our own understanding. Why is it sometimes easier to trust what we think more than what God says? When life doesn't go according to your plan, do you tend to become more teachable or more stubborn? What does this reveal about your maturity of mind?
  • Proverbs 3:5 instructs us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. When life takes an unexpected turn. Which emotion tends to surface first in you: anger, anxiety, fear, frustration? What does that emotion reveal about what you’re trusting? What is the difference between allowing your emotions to inform you and allowing your emotions to control you?
  • Proverbs 3:6 instructs us to acknowledge His presence, power and purpose in every situation.  What tends to rob you of your inner peace? Is it uncertainty about the future, regret about the past or pressure in the present? What is a step you can take today to acknowledge His presence, power and purpose in what you're facing?
  • Looking at your mind, heart, soul and strength, which area do you sense Jesus is most working to mature you right now? What is one practical step of trust you can take this week?
