OUTLINE

• Serve (Gen. 40:1-4)

• See (Gen. 40:5-7)

• Sensitive (Gen. 40:8)

• Strategic (Gen. 40:9-15)

• Straight Shooter (Gen. 40:16-23)

QUESTIONS:

1. What stuck out to you from today’s passage?

2. Puny things can have profound power. Why do we tend to look down on small things and small beginnings? Where do you want God to show up big, but are unwilling to start small? What is one small step you can take to begin the small work He is leading you to?

3. (Genesis 40:1-4) God uses Joseph to change the prison by serving others. We were designed to serve, serving impacts us and impacts others. Do you see serving as a powerful practice? Who has Jesus put around you that you can actively serve? (Galatians 5:13; Philippians 2:4; Mark 10:45)

4. (Genesis 40:5-8) God uses Joseph to change the prison by seeing others, and actually caring. Do you see being present with others and sympathizing with them as a powerful tool? Who has Jesus put around you that needs to be seen?
