1. What stuck out to you from today’s passage?

2. (Genesis 41:1) Joseph was left in prison for two more years. God’s story can often confuse us, it can even seem punitive. How does God’s story help us to see Him as purposeful rather than punitive? How does the Gospel help us shift our thinking?

3. (Genesis 41:1-7) God is always communicating. Without the Spirit, we are unable to understand what God is saying (1 Corinthians 2:14). Where does God want to use you to help make the story of God understandable to the lost? How does sin tend to make us hostile instead of helpful to the lost? (2 Timothy 2:24-26)

4. (Genesis 41:50-51) God is in control. He is working all things together for good. Where does our desire for comfort become more important than people meeting Christ? What parts of your story are you seeking to control? How can you invite Jesus into that area and surrender to Him?
