QUESTIONS:

1. As you listened to the sermon today, in what ways was the Lord speaking to your heart?

2. (Genesis 50:19) Joseph asks a profound question, “Am I in the place of God?” Where do you find yourself sitting in God’s seat? Where do you find yourself holding onto grudges? Unforgiveness? Bitterness? Who do you judge and feel superior to? Where in your life do you go with your own opinions and feelings rather than with what the Bible says? How can you repent and get out of God’s seat today?

3. (Genesis 50:20) Joseph makes a profound statement, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” Gaining God’s sight means holding two seemingly opposite things together. Evil is evil and God can use it for good. Where do you need to put on your Gospel Glasses today so that you won’t be overcome by evil?

4. (Genesis 50:21) Joseph’s brothers had a great deal of guilt and fear. How does fear keep you from relating to others and to God? How does fear distort reality and distract from relationships? How has the Gospel set you free to join His story of redemption?
