QUESTIONS:

1. What stood out most from the passage?

2. (John 9:1-2) The disciples were trying to figure out who was at fault for the suffering, was it others' fault or his own fault? When pain and suffering come into your life, do you tend to blame others or shame yourself? How does the Gospel set us free from blaming others or shaming ourselves? (Romans 8:28)

3. (John 9:3-7) Jesus tells the disciples that the suffering is purposeful, not pointless. Have you experienced Jesus using suffering for good in your own life? (Genesis 50:20) Why is suffering such a powerful tool to create humility and dependance in our lives?

4. (John 9:8-41) The satisfied men are stuck in their sin, the suffering man is saved and set free from his sin. In view of eternity, which of these people would you rather be?
