1. What stood out most from the passage?

2. (John 11:1-16) It often looks like God is losing. Have you ever wondered why God allows it to get so dark for those He delights in? How does knowing the end of His story give you hope in the darkness?

3. (John 11:17-35) It appears as though Martha aims her hurt at Jesus, while Mary brings her hurt to Jesus. Hard things reveal heart things. What heart things are being revealed through the hard things He has you walking through now? How can you bring your hurt to Jesus today and allow Him to enter into those with you?

4. (John 11:36-57) Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave and by so doing signed His own death warrant (v. 53). He willingly endured death so that you might have life without fear of death. Do you know how deeply loved you are? How does it impact you to be loved that deeply?
