John: Jesus is God - Greatness
Notes Outline
OUTLINE:
I. Self (John 1:19-28)
II. Savior (John 1:29)
III. Scope (John 1:30-34)
QUESTIONS:
What stuck out to you most from the sermon?
How do you define greatness? What do you think makes someone great? How does Jesus define greatness (Matthew 20:25-26)? Does your definition line up with Jesus’ definition? Where is repentance needed to align with Jesus’ definition?
Greatness demands clarity on who you are, who you're not, and who Jesus is. Where do you over-function as though the world depends on you and it’s all up to you? Where do you under-function as though nothing depends on you? What has your journey from selfishness to selflessness looked like? (John 1:19-27)
What are some ways you try to prove you're great? Who are some people you try to convince you’re great? How does Jesus’ greatness set you free to serve selflessly?
