Jun 08, 2025Dave TookerLuke: Focus on JesusLuke 7:1-17

Notes Outline

OUTLINE:

  • Kingdom (Luke 7:1-10)
  • King (Luke 7:11-17)

QUESTIONS:

  1. (Luke 7:1-5) Who would you consider an ‘outsider’ or even an ‘enemy’ today? How does Jesus’ welcome of the centurion challenge your view of who belongs in the kingdom?
  2. (Luke 7:6-9) The centurion had great faith in Jesus’ authority. In what area or situation do you need to trust Jesus’ authority more fully right now?
  3. (Luke 7:10) What are the things in your life right now that steal your peace, joy, and rest? How does His promise of a future kingdom with no death, mourning, crying, or pain shape the way you deal with suffering now?
  4. (Luke 7:13-15) Jesus connects with a person before correcting a problem. Are you more of a corrector or a connector? How does it challenge you that Jesus doesn't simply correct problems, but loves to connect with people personally? How can you grow in Christ by connecting with people today and sharing in their pain?
