Luke: Follow Jesus- The Worst Kiss Ever

OUTLINE:

• Perfect Relationally (Luke 22:47-48)
• Perfect Emotionally (Luke 22:49-51)
• Perfect Spiritually (Luke 22:52-53)

QUESTIONS:

1. (Luke 22:47-48) When someone hurts you, what is your first instinct: fight back, shut down, get even? Jesus confronted Judas honestly but did not stop loving him. What does it look like for you to speak truth while still showing grace to someone who has hurt you?
2. (Luke 22:49-51) What situations tend to expose your emotional limits? What happens inside of you when you feel overwhelmed, threatened, or out of control? Jesus did not allow someone else’s hatred to determine His heart posture. Who or what is most likely to steal your peace and expose where you are weak?
3. (Luke 22:52-53) Jesus said, “This is your hour-and the power of darkness.” How does this show that Jesus was not losing control, but surrendering to the Father’s plan? What areas of your life are hardest to surrender to the Father’s plan?
