Luke: Follow Jesus-How to Make a Mess of Your Life

QUESTIONS:

1. (Luke 22:31-32) We tend to view life more like a playground than a battleground. Where in your life are you tempted to follow after joy more than Jesus?  
2. (Luke 22:33-34) Peter was convinced that he would never fail Jesus. What area of your life are you most tempted to walk in over confidence? When pressure, exhaustion, disappointment, or fear increase, what weaknesses tend to surface in you that normally stay hidden?
3. (Luke 22:35-38) Life is full of changes. How do you typically respond when life does not go according to your plan (anger, control, withdrawal, anxiety)?  
4. (Luke 22:54-60) Peter’s greatest failure emerged from a series of smaller compromises. What “following at a distance” behaviors have a way of creeping into your relationship with Jesus?
5. (Luke 22:61-62) Peter wept bitterly, but his story was not over. When you fail, do you tend to move toward Jesus or away from Him?
