Luke: Follow Jesus- Dinner Reservations

QUESTIONS:

1. (Luke 22:1-6) We see betrayal, conspiracy and darkness surrounding Jesus. When have you experienced a season where life felt out of control? How does it help to know that Jesus understands suffering and betrayal?
2. (Luke 22:1-6) Judas was physically close to Jesus but spiritually far away. What are some warning signs that a person’s heart may be growing distant from Jesus even while remaining involved in church or ministry?
3. (Luke 22:7-13) Jesus is directing, not reacting to events. Where in your life do you need to trust that God is still working even when your story seems confusing or overwhelming?
4. (Luke 22:14-23) Around the table with Jesus were those who would betray, deny and fail Jesus- yet Jesus still offered the meal. What does this teach us about grace, forgiveness, and the kind of community the church can be?
